"Bank Accounts For Bad Credit"

Bad credit can make it difficult to get approved for a traditional bank account, but there are plenty of second chance banking options available. Here are a few banks that offer accounts for people with bad credit.

BBVA Compass offers a Second Chance Checking account for those who have been turned down for an account due to past financial mistakes. There is no opening deposit required and no monthly maintenance fees.

Wells Fargo offers the Opportunity Checking account which is designed for people who have difficulty qualifying for a traditional checking account because of their credit history. There is a $25 opening deposit required and a $10 monthly maintenance fee. However, this fee can be waived if you meet certain conditions such as keeping a balance of $1,500 or more in your account, setting up direct deposit, or using your debit card at least 10 times per month.
