City of Chicago’s “Fresh Start” Parking Ticket Debt Payment Plan Program

The City of Chicago has recently announced the launch of their new Fresh Start Parking Ticket Debt Payment Plan Program. Aimed to help those who are struggling with unpaid parking tickets, this program offers individuals an opportunity for a fresh start by offering various payment plans.

This program is available to anyone who has received parking tickets in the City of Chicago from January 1st, 2020 and onward. In addition to providing more flexibility on how to pay off outstanding debt, this initiative also offers lower monthly payments, interest elimination on unpaid debts over 90 days old and even complete forgiveness on certain eligible accounts after 22 months. Those enrolled in the plan also have access to additional resources such as budgeting tips and credit counseling services.
