Trustee's Report of No Distribution & What It Means For Your Case

If you are a debtor in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy case, the trustee may file a "Trustee's Report of No Distribution." This means that after the trustee sells any assets and pays creditors, there are no funds left to distribute to the debtor. In most cases, this is good news because it means the debtor has been discharged from all debts and will not have to repay any creditors. However, if the trustee was unable to sell assets or pay creditors, the debtor may still be responsible for some or all of their debts. If you have questions about your case, you should speak with an experienced bankruptcy attorney.
