Is there a way to keep a credit card I need when filing bankruptcy?

When it comes to filing for bankruptcy, one of the big questions is whether or not you can keep a credit card that you need. The answer is yes, but there are a few things you need to know.

First, if you have a credit card with a balance that you want to keep, you'll need to reaffirm the debt. This means that you're agreeing to continue making payments on the card even after your bankruptcy is discharged.

Second, if you have a co-signed credit card, you'll need to get the permission of the co-signer before reaffirming the debt. Otherwise, they may be legally liable for the balance if you can't make your payments.

Finally, even if you reaffirm a debt, it's important to remember that your credit card issuer can still cancel your card at any time and for any reason.
