What To Bring To Your 341 Meeting Of Creditors

If you are facing bankruptcy, you will have to attend a 341 meeting of creditors. This meeting is also called a Section 341 Meeting or a First Meeting of Creditors. The purpose of this meeting is for the bankruptcy trustee to question you about your bankruptcy case and for your creditors to ask you questions about your assets and liabilities.

You should bring several documents to your 341 meeting, including:

Your bankruptcy petition

A list of all your creditors

Proof of identification, such as a driver's license or passport

Proof of income, such as pay stubs or tax returns

A list of your monthly expenses

Any documents related to the property you want to keep in bankruptcy (such as the car title or deed to your house)

Be sure to arrive at your 341 meeting early and dressed professionally.
