If you’ve received a letter in the mail informing you of a Meeting of Creditors, it means that you’re being sued by creditors. This meeting is required by the bankruptcy court and is also known as a 341 hearing. At this hearing, the trustee will review your case and determine if there are any assets that can be used to pay off your debts. The trustee will also ask you questions about your financial situation and your ability to repay your debts. This hearing gives creditors an opportunity to object to your discharge or to file a proof of claim.
