When is the trustee meeting, also called my 341 meeting? This important meeting of creditors is typically held in a courtroom setting between the debtor and their creditors. The purpose of this meeting is to allow the court appointed trustee to review information provided by the debtor prior to filing for bankruptcy protection. Additionally, it allows an opportunity for creditors to ask questions regarding the debtor’s financial situation.

The trustee meeting, or 341 hearing as it is commonly known, typically takes place within 30-45 days after a bankruptcy petition has been filed with the court. In order for this hearing to take place, all documents related to the case must be completed and submitted beforehand.
