What is the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act

In 1970, California enacted the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act requiring all manufacturers to repurchase or replace faulty products they failed to fix after a “reasonable number” of repair attempts. In 2007, the Act was amended to allow members of the Armed Forces, who are stationed in or are residents of California, to exercise their rights under the Act regardless where their vehicles were purchased or registered.
