"Hard Inquiry Removal"

When you apply for a new credit card, loan, or other form of credit, the lender will likely do a hard inquiry on your credit report. This can temporarily lower your credit score. If you have too many hard inquiries in a short period of time, it could indicate to lenders that you're in financial distress.

Fortunately, you can remove hard inquiries from your credit report. If the inquiry is legitimate (for example, if you actually applied for the new credit card), then it will remain on your report for up to two years. But if the inquiry is not legitimate (for example, if it's from a lender who pulled your credit without your permission), then you can dispute it with the credit bureau and have it removed immediately.

If you're trying to remove a hard inquiry from your credit report, first check to see if it's legitimate.
