#20- Any mental health professional you want to call upon at trial must be selected with caution. Many excellent counselors do not testify effectively in court. A psychologist or a psychiatrist has better credentials for courtroom testimony than an M.F.C.C. or L.C.S.W. You will be at a tactical disadvantage if your witness has less training or experience than the other parent’s witness.
